Description

The Kangaroo is our most versatile indoor wooden climbing playhouse – one solid wooden frame with enough ways to move, imagine and play for siblings and friends to make it their own. Children can climb the four play panels, cross the monkey bars, swing, hang from the rings or head down the slide, then start all over again.

When the familiar route starts feeling easy, change it. Reposition the four pre-assembled play panels, move the reversible slide to a different height or flip it over into a rock-climbing ramp. Add the two included table legs and that same slide becomes a low play surface for blocks, drawing and building.

Available in European beechwood or New Zealand pinewood, the Kangaroo is finished with smooth rounded touch points and child-friendly cotton rope – a substantial piece of play furniture designed to keep changing with the way children play as they grow.

Care & Safety

Assembly & play

  • Adult assembly and active supervision are required. Use the supplied instructions when changing the setup.
  • Place on level ground, away from open fires and heat sources.
  • Check and tighten screws every 2–3 weeks. Stop use if any parts are damaged or missing.
  • Follow each accessory’s own limit. The gym rings hold up to 30 kg; the frame’s limit is not an allowance for each accessory or a number of children.

Looking after the wood

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry any moisture straight away. Keep out of direct sunlight.

Sturdy, Safe, and Fun – My Daughter Loves It

We bought this playhouse for our 1-year-old daughter, and she absolutely loves it. Even though she can’t climb it independently yet, she has already started trying, which is great to see and very encouraging for her development.

The 3-in-1 ball pit is fantastic. She enjoys sitting inside it and playing with her toys for long periods, and it keeps her happily engaged.

The playhouse itself is very well made. The materials feel sturdy and durable, yet safe for toddlers. The fabric is soft but strong, and the structure holds up well even with active play. It’s clear that quality was a priority in its design.

Highly recommended for young children.

A new favourite

My little boy is only 15 months but has already been loving his new playhouse and uses it daily. Being able to move things around keeps it fresh and exciting. The tent add on turns it into a very fun cubby house. Able to put together with one person quite easily, and high quality. The edge of the slide isn’t rounded like most of the other edges, so I did have to do a little baby proofing just on those four sides at the top/bottom.

A few questions before you choose.

What comes with the Kangaroo?

The frame, four pre-assembled panels, reversible slide, wooden swing, gym rings, soft ladder and two table legs. The tent, mats and other add-ons are optional.

Beechwood or pinewood—what’s the difference?

Same size, design and included play. Beechwood is harder, heavier and warmer in tone; pinewood is lighter in colour and weight. Their frame-load limits also differ.

How much room will we need?

The frame is 124 × 120 × 123 cm (L × W × H). The slide extends beyond it, so leave extra room for sliding, swinging and moving around.

What age is it for?

The Kangaroo is tested for ages 3+. Adult supervision is required. For older children, check their size and each accessory’s own weight limit.

Will they keep finding things to do?

There’s more than one route to master. Rearrange the panels, adjust the slide or turn it into a play table. A tent, hammock or drawing board can add a different kind of play later.

Can it go outside?

Only in a dry, sheltered area—not as all-weather garden equipment. Keep it out of rain and prolonged direct sun, and bring it indoors whenever it won’t stay protected. Moisture can damage the timber.

Can brothers and sisters play together?

There are different activities to try and turns to take. Supervise play and follow each accessory’s own limit—the gym rings hold up to 30 kg. The frame’s weight limit doesn’t specify how many children can use it at once.

Does it fold away? Is assembly difficult?

The four play panels arrive assembled; an adult completes the frame and changes its layout using the instructions. Kangaroo stays set up rather than folding away. Wombat is our fold-away option.

How does the slide become a table?

Attach the two included legs to one end; the other end stays connected to the frame. Then it’s ready for drawing or building. Baseplates and building toys are sold separately.

What does the 3-in-1 PlayMat do?

Use it as two separate mats, including a landing mat made for the Kangaroo, or zip the pieces into one large square ball pit. The mat is an optional extra; balls are sold separately.

Can we add accessories later?

Absolutely. Start with the climbing set and add a hammock, tent, drawing board or building plates when you’re ready. Check compatibility and each accessory’s age and weight guidance.

Are different wood colours and small knots normal?

Yes—natural grain, colour and sound knots vary from piece to piece. Cracks, splinters and loose knots are different: stop using that part and send us a photo so we can check it.

How is it delivered, and can we collect it?

In two cartons: the frame, then the slide and accessories. Shipping is calculated at checkout. Melbourne warehouse collection is available after we’ve emailed to say your order is ready.

The wood I want is unavailable. What can I do?

Select that wood and choose Ask about availability. Leave your email and we’ll check the options for that exact version. It won’t place an order or reserve stock.
